4 DAYS!!!

I'm off to India in 4 days! But I leave TOMORROW to meet my friend Kirsten in Wisconsin. Then we're driving to Chicago and flying out! You're going to hear about Kirsten a lot so here's a little about her: We were neighbors and FHE sisters at BYU-Idaho and found out we both were going to the same session of Rising Star. Clearly we were meant to be friends. She invited me to travel with her and her Grandpa (we'll miss you Jessie). Her Grandpa is legit. He's from India so he knows all the ins and outs. So the first two weeks of this blog will be about our traveling experiences. Then after that will be all about our adventures at Rising Star working in the leper colonies. 

Now I would like to make this little announcement: I would like to dedicate my humanitarian trip to Lee Mortensen. Because of this man and his wife, Betty, I am going on this trip. Yes, I had the desire for a very long time but the Mortensen's made it possible. They heard about my desire to go to India and they gave me my first donation before I even had a plan to go, they simply believed it to be a worthy cause. Because of that, I knew I had to go. This whole experience became sacred then and there because it wasn't about me anymore. So many people have been involved and made it possible for me to have this wonderful experience. But Lee and Betty were the start of it all. They were so willing to support every time I saw them. They are such humble and loving people. Lee past away in April due to medical conditions. But his memory will always be with me and because of that wonderful family, this is happening.
